Volleyball Recap: Gloucester's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Gloucester can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Heritage Hurricanes on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Gloucester started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-28, 25-17, 25-22, 25-23.

Gloucester's defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 10-10. As for Heritage, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gloucester will square off against Patrick Henry at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Heritage, they will challenge Maggie Walker at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
