Softball Game Preview: Alta Loma Braves vs. San Dimas Saints

The Alta Loma Braves will venture away from home to take on the San Dimas Saints at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Alta Loma is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs last Wednesday, they were much more limited against South Hills on Friday. They fell 5-2 to the Huskies.

Alta Loma saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Serrano, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, San Dimas earned a 5-2 victory over Colony on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Saints.

Tiffany Villegas was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Medina, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

San Dimas' win bumped their record up to 11-6-1. As for Alta Loma, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Alta Loma came up short against San Dimas in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 4-1. Can the Braves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
