Recap: Oak Glen Golden Bears vs. North Marion Huskies
After flying high against Covenant Christian on Tuesday, the Oak Glen Golden Bears came back down to earth. Oak Glen lost to North Marion on the road by a decisive 70-53 margin on Wednesday. Oak Glen has not had much luck with North Marion recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Golden Bears players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was A J Ramgeet, who scored 15 points. The game was Ramgeet's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Preston Cole was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Among those leading the charge was Caden Morris, who scored 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeffrey Cowger, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Oak Glen has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for North Marion, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Oak Glen will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wellsville at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Wellsville will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. North Marion will take on West Logan Christian Academy in a holiday battle at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at. West Logan Christian Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 65.2 points per game.
