Basketball Game Preview: Piedra Vista Panthers vs. Farmington Scorpions

The Piedra Vista Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Farmington Scorpions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Last Friday, Piedra Vista ended up a good deal behind Rio Rancho and lost 66-47. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Farmington humbled Cibola with a 71-36 victory. The Scorpions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Piedra Vista's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Farmington, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-5.

Piedra Vista was dealt a bruising 63-36 defeat at the hands of Farmington in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Thankfully for Piedra Vista, Kapiolani Anitielu (who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
