Football Recap: Boswell Pioneers vs. Weatherford Kangaroos
Boswell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 17-9 to the Weatherford Kangaroos. The Pioneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Kangaroos apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.
Brooks Kerbow was nothing short of spectacular for Weatherford: he rushed for 39 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 160 yards and a touchdown.
Boswell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Weatherford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-7.
Boswell will host Lake Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Ridge is coming into the contest with four straight losses on the road, meaning Boswell will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. As for Weatherford, they will head out to challenge Mansfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
