Football Recap: Glendale Piles Up the Points Against Hoover

Glendale had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They claimed a resounding 49-9 victory over the Hoover Tornados. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Nitros had established a 33-point advantage.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glendale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elijah Venegas, who rushed for 26 yards and three TDs, and also threw for 95 yards and one touchdown while completing 87.5% of his passes. What's more, Venegas racked up 164.1 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August of 2024. Glendale also got help from Arlen Aivzian, who showed off his sure hands for 84 receiving yards.

Glendale's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-8. As for Hoover, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

As of now, neither Glendale nor the Tornados have any future games scheduled.
