Volleyball Recap: Rigby Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Snake River

Rigby faced Snake River in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Trojans fell 2-0 to the Panthers. The match marked the first time this season in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.

Their offense was headlined by Iris Wells and Brinley Bybee, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Madison Jensen and her 16 assists. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Giada Bertagnolli, racking up two apiece.

Having lost for the first time this season, Rigby fell to 4-1. As for Snake River, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Rigby wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Shelley on the 23rd. As for Snake River, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Idaho Falls on the 23rd.
