Dekaney kept a clean sheet against Nimitz on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Nimitz Cougars, sneaking past 1-0. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Cougars are ranked 549th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dekaney's victory bumped their record up to 9-3-3. As for Nimitz, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dekaney will face off against Aldine at 7:00 p.m. on February 19th. As for Nimitz, they will welcome MacArthur at 7:30 p.m. on February 19th. MacArthur's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
