Baseball Recap: Campolindo Find Success

Campolindo owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They came out on top against the Miramonte Matadors by a score of 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Matadors: they've now won six in a row.

Campolindo got a great performance from Dom Caruso as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. The dominant performance gave Caruso a new career-high in strikeouts.

At the plate, Campolindo's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Blake Robison, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Campolindo hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Miramonte struck out 13 times.

Campolindo's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Miramonte, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Campolindo will challenge Amador Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Miramonte, they will take on Acalanes at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Acalanes will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Miramonte surely won't give up without a fight.
