Baseball Recap: Metcalfe County Comes Up Short

Metcalfe County lost against Russell County back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hornets fell just short of the Lakers by a score of 2-1. The game marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Metcalfe County's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Russell County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Metcalfe County will host Russellville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Russell County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bowling Green at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday.
