Soccer Recap: Stanton Comes Up Short

Stanton and Bishop Kenny squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Stanton had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bishop Kenny Crusaders by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 back in January.

Stanton's goal came courtesy of Kate Huntington, who's now up to 11 this season.

Stanton dropped their record down to 15-9 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Bishop Kenny, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

Stanton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Kenny, they have already played their next contest, a 4-1 loss against Bishop Moore on the 18th.
