Reese entered their tilt with Bad Axe on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Hatchets by a score of 8-5. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 26, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Breelie Louis made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Louis was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.

Louis wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Sydney DuRussel, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Reese's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. As for Bad Axe, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Hatchets beat Reese by a score of 7-6 later that day.
