Basketball Recap: Tecumseh Victorious

After losing to Plainview the last time they met, Tecumseh decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Tecumseh Savages came out on top against the Plainview Indians by a score of 56-48 on Saturday.

When it comes to explaining why Plainview lost, don't look at Abby Chaney. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. Chaney's afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ally Brown, who posted eight points and three steals.

Tecumseh's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Plainview, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Tecumseh and Plainview could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. Tecumseh (ranked 197th) will meet McLoud (ranked 41st) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Plainview will challenge Kingston at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 218 places (261 vs. 43).
