Mira Costa faced El Segundo in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Mira Costa walked away with a 3-1 win over El Segundo. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Mira Costa had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-17, 25-14, 25-16.
