1. Choctaw

Choctaw saw its season come to an early end when it lost in the quarterfinals of the Class 6A state tournament to Owasso. However, Choctaw returns perhaps the state's top player in
Ana Llanusa, a 6-foot-2 senior guard who averaged 20.6 points, five rebounds and 3.2 assists en route to earning all-state honors. Choctaw also returns
Bailey Golden, who averaged 10.8 points per game last year as a sophomore while earning all-state honorable mention honors.

2. Edmond Santa Fe
Head coach: Paul Bass
2015-16 record: 22-6
Edmond Santa Fe exited the playoffs in the quarterfinals with a loss to Muskogee, but four of the top players from last year's team return. All four earned honorable mention all-state honors, led by senior
Andrea Cooper, who averaged 12.4 points per game. Also honored were senior
Jo'nah Johnson (11.7 points per game), junior
Ravon Nero (10.8) and
Makayla Foy (6.5).

3. Deer Creek (Edmond)
Head coach: Totsy Manning
2015-16 record: 20-8
Deer Creek fielded a young team last year, but still managed to reach the quarterfinals of the Class 6A state playoffs. Deer Creek returns
Sydney Manning, a junior who averaged 16.9 points per game and earned honorable mention all-state honors, as well as senior
Maddie Rehl, who received similar honors while averaging 8.3 points per game.

4. Westmoore (Oklahoma City)
Head coach: Andrea Guziec
2015-16 finish: 24-3
Westmoore fell to eventual Class 6A state champion Midwest City in the quarterfinals, but it might have the best junior in the state returning to the lineup next year.
Jessi Murcer earned third team all-state honors from the Oklahoman after averaging 21 points per game. Westmoore will miss Ashley Gomez, who earned first team All-Class 6A honors.

5. Claremore
Head coach: Stephanie Shaw
2015-16 finish: 23-6
Claremore reached the Class 5A state championship game before falling to Woodward 50-41. Claremore returns the best senior player in Class 5A this year in
Lauren Chancellor, a 5-foot-7 guard who averaged 15.9 points per game last year while earning Class 5A all-state honors by the Oklahoman.
