Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Arlington

Arlington waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Belmont Marauders by a score of 7-3. This was a revenge game for the Spy Ponders: when they faced off against the Marauders back in April, they had to take a 13-7 loss.

Soline Fisher made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, Arlington let Ceci Bagnall and Zanna Felton-Quinn run wild. Bagnall went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Felton-Quinn went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Felton-Quinn a new career-high.

The win got Arlington back to even at 6-6. As for Belmont, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Arlington didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-2 victory against Arlington Catholic on the 12th. Belmont has also already played their next game (against Wakefield Memorial), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
