Holy Cross got themselves on the board against Ansonia on Friday, but Ansonia never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Chargers. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won five games by nine runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Holy Cross and bumps their season record up to 6-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Ansonia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Cross will take on Seymour at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ansonia, they will face off against Waterbury Career Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.22 runs per game on average), something the Chargers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
