Basketball Game Preview: Notre Dame Academy Eagles vs. Fairmont Firebirds

The Notre Dame Academy Eagles and the Fairmont Firebirds will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Monday without much rest having both just played. Notre Dame Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Sunday, Notre Dame Academy made easy work of Warrensville Heights and carried off a 56-30 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Fairmont's undefeated season came to an end after 12 games on Sunday. They fell just short of Portsmouth by a score of 48-45. The game marked the Firebirds' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Notre Dame Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points per game. As for Fairmont, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 12-1.
