Softball Game Preview: Graham Steers vs. Glen Rose Tigers

The Graham Steers will head out on the road to take on the Glen Rose Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Graham will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Graham proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 15) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Stephenville 5-4.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Glen Rose's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Brownwood by a score of 5-4.

Glen Rose saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marki Sandlin, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.

Graham pushed their record up to 7-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Glen Rose, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.

Graham skirted past Glen Rose 5-3 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Graham since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
