Basketball Recap: Clarksburg Takes a Loss

Clarksburg lost against Middleton back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Clarksburg Rockets came up short against the Middleton Tigers, falling 72-49. The Rockets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-16.

Kaleb Holmes had a dynamite game for Middleton, as he made all 6 shots he took racking up 13 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Tamarcus Smith, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Clarksburg dropped their record down to 3-22 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Middleton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Looking ahead, Clarksburg will take on West Carroll at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Middleton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
