Basketball Game Preview: Lee Generals vs. Midfield Patriots

The Lee Generals will be taking part in a tournament against the Midfield Patriots at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Lee is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Columbia by a score of 57-46 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Generals.

Meanwhile, Midfield waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They took their game with ease, bagging an 84-22 victory over the Tigers. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 25 points or more this season.

Midfield has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Lee, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-16.

Lee came up short against Midfield in their previous matchup back in December of 2017, falling 50-38. Can Lee avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
