Baseball Recap: St. Joseph Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

St. Joseph barely beat Righetti the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 7-1 win on Wednesday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Erik Furness was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Bluem, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

St. Joseph pushed their record up to 21-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Righetti, their loss dropped their record down to 15-11.

St. Joseph will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
