Basketball Recap: Salisbury Piles Up the Points Against Sturgeon

Salisbury won the last time they faced Sturgeon and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Salisbury Panthers blew past the Sturgeon Bulldogs, posting a 58-28 win. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 334th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Salisbury is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.6 points per game. As for Sturgeon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salisbury will challenge Fayette at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sturgeon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wellsville-Middletown at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th.
