Meanwhile, Windermere Prep had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They took down the Warriors 54-40. Given the Lakers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Warriors are ranked 154th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The Villages Charter's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points over those games. As for Windermere Prep, their win bumped their record up to 20-7.
