Jefferson skates past Big Sandy with ease

Recap: Jefferson Bulldogs vs. Big Sandy Wildcats

The Jefferson Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Big Sandy at home to the tune of 81-50. Considering Jefferson has won eight matches by more than 23 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Despite the loss, Big Sandy still got an impressive performance from Ka'myrie Fountain, who scored 11 points along with eight assists and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Petty-johnson, who scored ten points.

Jefferson's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points per game. As for Big Sandy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Daingerfield at 6:00 p.m. on December 29th. Daingerfield will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1127th, while Jefferson is ranked 298th). As for Big Sandy, they will be playing at home against New Diana at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
