Webster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Perkins-Tryon Demons at home and fell 55-14. The Warriors gained 128 more yards on the day, but it was the Demons that made the best use of them.

Webster's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Deroin, who threw for 157 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 50 yards. Terrance Franklin was Deroin's top target, picking up 110 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Wyatt Atkinson was a one-man wrecking crew for Perkins-Tryon as he rushed for 67 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Atkinson also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles and defending two passes. Braiton Applegate was in the mix too, providing Perkins-Tryon with a touchdown.

Webster's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Perkins-Tryon, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Webster will head out on the road to challenge Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Perkins-Tryon, they will take on Sulphur on Friday.
