Baseball Recap: Jones Finds Home Field Redemption Against Shepard

There's no place like home for Jones, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They never let the Shepard Astros get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Wednesday.

Gio Delgado looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Christophe DeWijkerslooth, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was John Clifford, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

The win got Jones back to even at 2-2. As for Shepard, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Jones will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Kennedy at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Shepard, they will host Bloom at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
