Baseball Game Preview: Mulberry Grove Aces vs. Altamont Indians

Mulberry Grove hasn't had much luck against Altamont recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Aces will head out to challenge the Indians at 4:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Mulberry Grove is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They came up short against Brownstown/St. Elmo, falling 6-0.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Altamont's offense. They lost 11-0 to Father McGivney Catholic on Monday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Indians, who until this contest were averaging 3.67 runs allowed.

Altamont's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6. As for Mulberry Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Mulberry Grove might still be hurting after the 17-2 loss they got from Altamont in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Aces avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
