Football Recap: Hudson Comes Up Short

Hudson fell victim to Gulf and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Buccaneers, falling 21-0. The Cobras lost against the Buccaneers in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 50-0 score last time.

Christian Garrett threw for 120 yards on 13 of 24 attempts. Justice Casher was his top target, picking up 39 receiving yards.

Hudson is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2. As for Gulf, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hudson will head out to square off against Cypress Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gulf, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Anclote at 7:30 p.m. on September 12.
