Airline waltzed into their match on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They put the hurt on the Captain Shreve Gators with a sharp 8-2 victory. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 6-2 victory last Thursday.

Airline pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Captain Shreve, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Airline will host Natchitoches Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
