Soccer Game Preview: Denver East vs. Northfield

The Denver East Angels will venture away from home to square off against the Northfield Nighthawks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Denver East barely beat Broomfield the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Angels were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Eagles on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Denver East.

They hit Broomfield with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Blake Elliott, Jacob Danzer, Henry Caldwell, and Gavin Barringer.

Meanwhile, Northfield faced Vista PEAK Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Nighthawks' defense stepped up to hand the Bison a 1-0 shutout. Northfield haven't had any issues with Vista PEAK Prep recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Denver East's win bumped their record up to 6-0-2. As for Northfield, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0-1.
