Basketball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for East Laurens

East Laurens had won five straight games and Mckayela Tanner did her part to make it six on Friday. The East Laurens Falcons blew past the Dublin Fighting Irish 59-38 thanks in part to Tanner, who went 9 of 17 on her way to 20 points and three steals. Her evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Tytiuna Page was another key player, putting up seven points. Those seven points gave her a new career-high.

East Laurens is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Dublin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-12.

East Laurens wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 78-45 victory against West Laurens on the 25th. Dublin has also already played their next game, a 55-37 win against Jefferson County on the 28th.
