Basketball Recap: Jordan Snags Eighth Victory in Last Ten Games

There's no place like home for Jordan, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They managed a 48-44 victory over the Paetow Panthers on Friday. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while the Panthers are ranked 543rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jordan is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Paetow, they dropped their record down to 7-12 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jordan will host Tompkins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Paetow, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mayde Creek at 7:00 p.m. on January 14th.
