Preview: Wesleyan Wolves vs. Ringgold Tigers
The Wesleyan Wolves will be playing at home against the Ringgold Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Wesleyan sitting on four straight victories and Ringgold on three.
Wesleyan put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Friday. They put the hurt on Pickens with a sharp 42-20 victory. Wesleyan pushed the score to 42-13 by the end of the third, a deficit Pickens cut but never quite recovered from.
Wesleyan relied on the efforts of Jamie Tremble, who picked up 168 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and Ben Brown, who threw for 289 yards and five touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes.
Meanwhile, Ringgold didn't have too much trouble with Gordon Lee on the road on Friday as they won 21-7.
Wesleyan's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.4 points per game. As for Ringgold, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
