Baseball Recap: Churchill Takes a Loss

Churchill was the 5-4 winner over Ashland when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Lancers fell just short of the Grizzlies by a score of 4-3 on Saturday.

Churchill saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carlos Barajas, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Churchill's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Ashland, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Churchill is set to take on their familiar foe Crater at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ashland will challenge rival Springfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
