Jasper was sadly handed a defeat on Monday, but Hunter Earl did his best to prevent it. Earl was dynamite, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over 5.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
