Monsignor Farrell faced Iona Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Lions came out on top against the Gaels by a score of 28-21. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Monsignor Farrell got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bryce Moye out in front who threw for 229 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes. 112 of Moye's passing yards were hauled in by Braxton Moye, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Despite the loss, Iona Prep still got an impressive performance from Julian Guzman, who rushed for 134 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also threw for 182 yards on 17 of 31 attempts. Crew Davis also helped out as he racked up 102 rushing yards.

Monsignor Farrell's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Iona Prep, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 6-1.

Coming up, Monsignor Farrell will welcome St. Joseph-by-the-Sea at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Iona Prep, they will challenge Kellenberg Memorial at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
