Basketball Recap: Kylie Seifried Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat San Tan Foothills

Northwest Christian won the last time they faced San Tan Foothills and things went their way on Thursday too. The Northwest Christian Crusaders walked away with a 47-34 win over the San Tan Foothills Sabercats. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

Northwest Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kylie Seifried led the charge by going 9 of 13 on her way to 19 points along with five assists and three steals. That's the most assists Seifried has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Juliana Larson, who posted eight points in addition to 16 rebounds and four steals.

Northwest Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in eight consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, San Tan Foothills still got an impressive performance from Cienna Witcher, who scored 24 points.

Northwest Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for San Tan Foothills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.

Northwest Christian will challenge ALA - Ironwood at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for San Tan Foothills, they will take on Benjamin Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
