Soccer Game Preview: Legacy vs. Roosevelt

The Legacy Tigers will challenge the Roosevelt Rough Riders at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Legacy is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Legacy challenged South East on Friday. Legacy fell just short of South East by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 563rd, while the Jaguars are ranked 70th).

Meanwhile, Roosevelt fell victim to South Gate and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams.

Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8-4. As for Roosevelt, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10-2 record this season.

Legacy came out on top in a nail-biter against Roosevelt in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 3-2. Will Legacy repeat their success, or does Roosevelt have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
