Volleyball Recap: Freedom Takes a Loss

Freedom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the East Burke Cavaliers, falling 3-0. If the Patriots were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Cavaliers when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-12, 25-20.

Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for East Burke, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freedom will welcome Draughn at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Burke, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Stephens at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
