Volleyball Game Preview: Modesto Panthers vs. Downey Knights

While Modesto was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Pitman's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-13, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Downey was able to grind out a solid victory over Turlock on Thursday, taking the game 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won six in a row.

Downey's victory bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Modesto, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
