Soccer Game Preview: Williams vs. Hamilton

The Williams Yellowjackets will head out to square off against the Hamilton Braves at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Hamilton is hoping to do what Live Oak couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to Williams' winning streak, which now stands at three games. Williams never let Live Oak onto the board and left with a 3-0 win. Fans of the Yellowjackets have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

Ernie Lemus and Salvador Ruiz scored all three of Williams' goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, Hamilton got the win against Oroville on Tuesday by a conclusive 5-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Braves.

Williams' victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Hamilton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Williams beat Hamilton 3-1 in their previous meeting back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Williams since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
