Basketball Recap: Hamburg Comes Up Short

Hamburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 27th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Stanton Vikings, falling 63-16. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while the Vikings are ranked 134th).

Hamburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Stanton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Hamburg has already played their next game (against Essex), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Stanton has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Griswold.
