Baseball Recap: Nipomo Takes a Loss

Nipomo lost against Morro Bay back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Nipomo took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Morro Bay.

Nipomo saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aden Willis, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Eli Silveira also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Even though they lost, Nipomo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Nipomo now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Morro Bay, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Nipomo will take on Orcutt Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Morro Bay, they will square off against Selma at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
