Volleyball Recap: Winfield Takes a Loss

Winfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Circle Thunderbirds. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Thunderbirds this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-9.

Winfield's defeat dropped their record down to 7-21. As for Circle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.

Winfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Douglass on the 11th. As for Circle, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Conway Springs on the 11th.
