Baseball Recap: Vale Comes Up Short

Vale lost against Burns back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Vikings took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hilanders. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vale's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Burns, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-2.

Coming up, Vale will challenge Grant Union at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Prospectors will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight. As for Burns, they will face off against Sisters at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Outlaws' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Hilanders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
