The biggest upset of the week belonged to Rampart, who took down 82nd ranked Liberty, 38-35. Quinn Mahone threw for 221 yards and three touchdowns in the win.

Vista Ridge's Brandon Cartagena rumbled for the longest rushing play in 4A Pikes Peak this season in his game against Air Academy last week. Cartagena's team defeated the Kadets as he sprinted for 89 yards on the play and finished with 182 in all.

Ryan Ciesla made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Rams beat the Lancers. The 6-foot-4 junior pulled down one interception and recorded one fumble.

Geno Bigelow was the best wideout in the league this week as Air Academy fell to Vista Ridge. Bigelow tallied nine receptions for 192 yards. Devon Tang helped Air Academy's passing attack out by catching five balls for 41 yards.

Thanks to the talents of Brayden Stewart and Cartagena Les Johnson's team has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Stewart leads the league in passing with 1029 yards, while Cartagena has rushed for 955 yards this season. Liberty's Dylan Flynn leads the league in receiving yards with 560 on 31 catches.

The Wolves' Cartagena needs only 45 yards against Jaron Cohen's team next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.

Two highly touted recruits will be in the spotlight when Pine Creek and Ponderosa meet this week. The Eagles features well-regarded sophomore Avery Anderson while the Mustangs has Chris Fox, a sought after senior.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Vista Ridge takes on the Lancers. As it stands, the Wolves are in second, while Liberty is in fourth.

Ponderosa extended the longest winning streak in 4A Pikes Peak this week by beating Falcon, 3-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for Jamie Woodruff's team.
