Volleyball Recap: Manteca Find Success

Manteca's tournament run continued when they took on Bear River on Saturday. The Buffaloes narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bruins 2-1.

Jesus Gomez paced Manteca's offense, picking up 15 kills. Gomez got some help from Mark Bondoc and his 26 assists. Bondoc was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Manteca is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Bear River, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-3.

Manteca has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Pitman on the 29th. As for Bear River, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Bradshaw Christian on the 29th.
