Soccer Game Preview: Fossil Ridge vs. Rocky Mountain

The Fossil Ridge SaberCats will square off against the Rocky Mountain Lobos at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Fossil Ridge's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Loveland with a sharp 7-0 victory. Fossil Ridge haven't had any issues with Loveland recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, Rocky Mountain brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They blew past Greeley West 5-0 on Tuesday. Taylor Slauson was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Fossil Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 7-1-4. As for Rocky Mountain, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7-1.

Fossil Ridge beat Rocky Mountain by a goal in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 3-2. Will the SaberCats repeat their success, or do the Lobos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
