Baseball Recap: Torrington Takes a Loss

After flying high against Crosby on Saturday, Torrington came back down to earth. The Raiders took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seymour Wildcats on Wednesday. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 4-2 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Torrington's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Seymour, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Torrington and Seymour will both be playing Oxford the next time they take the field. The Raiders will head out to face the Wolverines at 3:45 p.m. on Friday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
